Itinerary
Day 1 ㅤ
We will depart from Chachapoyas at 9:30 a.m. and head to the community of Cocachimba, where we will begin our journey to one of the most remarkable natural wonders in Amazonas. Before setting off, we will arrange lunch and entrance fees before continuing toward the second drop of Gocta Waterfall.
From Cocachimba, we will begin our hike through the cloud forest, surrounded by lush vegetation and the landscapes that define this region. As we make our way along the trail, we will have the opportunity to observe the area’s rich biodiversity, including birds, butterflies, orchids, bromeliads, and other species native to this ecosystem.
The trail will take us to the base of Gocta’s second drop, where we can admire the power of the falling water and the unique landscape surrounding the waterfall. We will have time to enjoy the natural pool, relax, and take in the surroundings before beginning our return hike.
We will then head back to Cocachimba, where we will enjoy lunch before returning to Chachapoyas. Arrival is expected at approximately 6:00 p.m., although timings may vary depending on the group’s pace.
